Please forgive me for missing a day of blogging yesterday! Between sickness, Holiday Cafe, schedule changes, the play, and the HOLIDAYS, (not to mention the normal stuff!) I cannot keep it all straight in my head some days....! So, while we're on that subject, I've got a few things you need to note:
First, the upcoming Fourth Grade Play,
North Pole Musical, is NEXT Thursday, December 15th at 1:00pm. This is different than we've done it every other year, but this will be the
only time you can see it! So please make plans to be here next Thursday afternoon!!!
Secondly, and somewhat more urgently, our PTO is sponsoring a Holiday Shoppe this year. Our class will be shopping on Thursday of THIS week (December 8th). Information about this came home yesterday (in the yellow folders) along with an envelope for you to enclose your money. We would really like every student to get to shop even if it's with a very small amount, so please send in whatever you can by Thursday.
Finally, our annual tradition of gingerbread houses...we are planning to make these next Wednesday, December 14th. We want to be sure you understand that these are for decoration only--NOT for eating!!! We will be using used (and emptied) milk cartons as the base for our house, with graham crackers for the frame of the house, and icing for the snow and what holds it together. Thus, please buy inexpensive brands of icing and graham crackers!! We will decorate them with colorful candies and whatever you want to contribute for that will be great.
I know that's a lot, so I'll leave you with that for now...'tis the season, right?

- Science: Weather/Water Cycle Test Thursday
- Social Studies: Study Economics Vocabulary for Quiz on Tuesday (study guide to come later this week)
