We all scream for ice cream!

We went to Bradley's on Friday to get ice cream. After a trip to Lexington and a picnic lunch, it seemed like a great day to be a fourth grader!

Field Day Postponed

Due to today's weather, Field Day is being moved to WEDNESDAY. This will give the ground some time to dry out hopefully. Our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will also be moved to Wednesday. This information will be coming home today. Stay tuned!

Terrific Tuesday & Bye-Bye, Testing!

We finished our last testing session today!!!!! YIPPEE!!!  The students (AND their teachers!) are so glad to be finished.  What a hard-working crew!

We are back to writing in / signing agendas....but I am giving a free pass on agendas tonight since many students didn't have theirs today.
Here's homework for tonight:
  • IMPORTANT! Please bring a white t-shirt to tie-dye TOMORROW.
  • Please return the permission slips for Friday's service project and our hike to Bradley's for ice cream ASAP.
  • I passed out reading logs that can be used as EXTRA CREDIT in reading.  It is not required, and students may choose which (if any) nights they read.  Some students did not even want a log at all...
Only 9 more days to go! Great job testing, 4th graders!!!!!

Testing Day 1

One day down!!!!  Students worked SO HARD today!  I was very, very proud of them.  Tomorrow is Reading Part C, and Math Part A.  There is no official homework tonight, but reviewing anything at all in any of these areas would be great.
Other options:
  • Play any of the games / websites listed on the right.
  • Google "Scholastic Study Jams," and watch any of the math videos.
  • Name a math topic (i.e. division; fractions; algebra; etc) and make a list of as many vocabulary words related to that topic as possible.  See who can come up with more! :)
  • Practice multiplying, dividing, adding/subtracting fractions and mixed numbers...make it fun by writing in sidewalk chalk on the driveway, painting it, or racing a parent/sibling! :)
Happy Studying!
