I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! As I hope you remembered, we do not (usually) give homework on Fridays and thus, you don't have to sign agendas on Fridays either (yippee!).
Your child's agenda should be filled in tonight with the following homework:
Reading LOG--this was sent home today (and should be in your child's binder in a page protector) with directions at the top--he/she will need to read for 20 minutes each night and you will need to initial on the date to show that you saw this assignment completed.
Spelling--study words (the list came home today in the homework folder as well as on the back of the newsletter)
Math-Place Value worksheet (even problems only)
Many students may have completed this already, but it should still be in his/her homework folder for you to see.
One other thing you'll notice is the "Daily Review" in the Handouts to Keep folder. We go over these questions in class everyday (Monday through Thursday) and will give a quiz each Friday over questions selected randomly from these worksheets. This will be a quick way for students to constantly review what we've already learned. He/she will want to keep these pages in his/her binder throughout the week to look over for Friday's quiz.
